Plaifa Punthakeirtpaisarn
Fa Punthakeirtpaisarn has been immersed in music from a young age, growing up in a family with a strong appreciation for it. She began playing the piano at around five years old and quickly developed a genuine passion for the instrument. What initially started as an enjoyable childhood activity gradually evolved into a serious area of study. Under the guidance of respected music teachers, she achieved Trinity Grade 8 Piano with Distinction.
Supported by her family, Fa continued her musical development by pursuing a Piano Diploma and securing a scholarship to study at Trent College in the United Kingdom, where she relocated at the age of ten, accompanied by her younger sister. Before this, she attended Wathannai School and Bangkok Prep International School in Thailand. Her scholarship reflected the strength of her musical ability and potential.
At the age of twelve, Fa discovered a deep interest in composition and music production. She devoted much of her free time to exploring musical ideas, creating new pieces, and experimenting with different sounds and techniques. Over the years, her works were submitted to several international competitions across the United Kingdom, where she received multiple awards and acknowledgements.
Fa continues to study classical piano at an advanced level and also enjoys playing additional instruments, including the flute. She is particularly interested in the creative possibilities that arise from blending musical traditions, instrumental colours, and stylistic influences. Her work spans Classical, Romantic, Electronic, and World Music, reflecting both her curiosity and her developing artistic voice.
Most recently, Fa began her studies in Composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, learning under experienced professors. The institution is recognised for its prestigious Steinway Exclusive Status and its distinguished alumni, including Anthony Hopkins and Stevie Wonder. Fa is committed to her studies and continues to refine her compositional expression.
Alongside her academic work, Fa has performed in various ensembles, bands, and concerts, gaining valuable experience in ensemble playing and live performance. She also continues to produce original compositions and teaches piano, sharing her musical knowledge with younger students.
Outside of music, Fa also has a strong interest in Fine Art and has received school scholarships in recognition of her artistic achievements
